Aikido - Moving Zen - Beginner`s Classes Mondays to Thursdays - As featured on CBC radio 1, "On the Coast" and on CTV BC 5 pm News.

We are offering Traditional Aikido classes at our not-for-profit dojo in North Vancouver. We offer unlimited attendance on Mondays to Thursdays from 7-8 am and 6 to 7 pm (you can take any and all classes without restrictions). Aikido is a very aerobic activity with no sparring or competition of any kind.

If you have recently been Laid Off or are unemployed or underemployed due to the recent downturn in the economy, Aikido is a great way to get your life back on track. Aikido classes will help you with stress reduction, offers a great cardio-vascular workout and it`s good for our mind and spirit too! Aikido is traditional Japanese martial art with origins in the fighting arts of the Samurai era. We teach a very concrete and full contact approach in a supportive and fun atmosphere. We do emphasize traditional etiquette and have a rigorous approach to training. We are affiliated with the United States Aikido Federation, as the Chief Instructor, I am ranked 6th Dan and Shidoin (certified examiner), I volunteer my time to instruct.

Our regular beginners introductory package is $180 plus GST that which covers your first three (3) months dues plus a yearly registration fee ($75), after that from $75 per month (we have no contracts of any kind and attendance is always unlimited). With proof of your employment situation, your fees will be waived until you are back on your feet.
